Craftiness continued...

Here are a few more crafts that I've done over the months - first up is Digby the Duck (he's a bit of a souse but I still love him!)

Then there is Maman Lily - a very kind-hearted bunny who loves to cook a la mode francais.

Lastly, there is a small vignette of confused sheep.

Oh Crafty Day!

I finished my coaster - she will be lovely to share my morning cup of tea or coffee with. Here's the front and then the backing is some Japanese fabric that I bought on-line.

Sunny Sunday

This SUNNY morning, for the famiglia, the Younger and I made Oetker blueberry-filled muffins (pretty yum and no trans fat!). Along with our beloved Seattle's Best Breakfast Blend cup of java I gave a quick glance through the weekend newspaper. Two things caught my eye - one was style - the new Anya Hindmarch grocery canvas tote available at Holt Renfrew for $90 and the other was music. Neko Case and her song maybe sparrow has a wonderful video and she has an awesome voice! Neko Case I noted she has a new album out called Middle Cyclone.

Well, more work on the invitations and then deliver the Younger to Roy Thomson Hall for rehearsal...

Style

More on the style front I read in the Toronto Star about Lauren Luke and her make-up videos - she's very sweet and in this particular entry, she does makeup ala Anne Hathaway.
Also, in the latest Allure magazine, they suggested to find a role model and to try to follow her style from your closet. My role models are definitely Cate Blanchett, Gwyneth Paltrow (Goop), Julianne Moore, Grace Kelly and I'm sure I'll think of more!

Blustery Day!

Today is my first posting! It is a very blustery "Pooh" day today and we are mostly staying indoors. My hubbie and I are working on invitations to my Elder's party (arghh!). Hubby is in the computer biz and he is being very "Hubby" in making certain all is perfection - thank the blustery heavens for him! We had to pop right out of bed this morning and shlep our younger to the CISMF choir rehearsals (he'll be singing at Roy Thomson Hall tomorrow) so H and I decided to have a breakfast date after we dropped Younger off and went to the Good Bite on Yonge St. for a greasy spoon breakfast sitting at the counter (very retro).

I've been trying to master this "blog" stuff today (which has been trial and error) but I'm hoping to post new projects I'm working on. As of late, I've designed and embroidered a coaster that I'm very proud of. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

On a reading note, I've been enjoying a book by Ann Packer - "Songs without Words".

On a style note, I have been lusting after this Rebecca Taylor dress - Bohemian Rhapsody -- I even love the name. The price tag on the other hand is a hefty $435!!
